Crate two
The Basket
Pop things in as you wander the stalls: some priced in your own money, some already in sats off a tag. The chalkboard keeps the running tally, rounds up a kind tip if you like, and splits the bill when you came with friends.
Nothing is pre-filled. Every price and every rate in here is yours.
Your rate
The basket has no price feed. Type the rate you trust and it stays on this device. It is shared with the Tag Maker, so you only type it once.

What is in the basket
Nothing in here but fresh air. Add your first item above and it lands on this list, with its own line total in sats.
How the basket thinks
The maths, step by step
Each price for one item is turned into sats and rounded to the nearest whole sat, which is how a tag would show it. That is multiplied by the quantity and rounded again for the line total. The subtotal is the sum of the line totals. If you picked a round-up step, the total is the subtotal rounded up to the next multiple of that step, and the difference is your tip.
Splitting divides the total by the number of people. Sats cannot be cut smaller than one, so when it does not divide evenly the note on the chalkboard tells you how many people pay one sat more.
Mixing money and sats
Items priced in sats are used as they are and need no rate. Items priced in your own money need the rate above. If you add one before typing a rate, it waits in the list marked "needs a rate" and is left out of the totals until you provide one; the chalkboard tells you how many are waiting.
Odd inputs
Prices must be above zero. Quantities can be fractions, from 0.001 up to 9,999. A price that is empty, negative or not a number is turned away with a note. A price so big that it would exceed every sat that will ever exist (2,100,000,000,000,000) is treated as a typo. People to split between must be a whole number from 1 to 99.
